Question: I
bought my certification card during a Summer League. Do I need to buy
again in the Winter league?
Answer:
A new member who joins a summer league after March 15 of the
current season shall, at the time the individual files his/her
application for membership, pay only those annual USBC, state and
local dues that are then known to be, or to become, effective for
the next season. Upon payment of such dues, the individual shall
be granted membership in USBC and applicable state and local
associations for the balance of the current season and the next
season.

Answer:
A league that starts after March 15 and before August 1 is a
summer league.

How much is my sanction card for the 2010/2011 season?
Answer:
Adult sanction cards for the upcoming season cost $20.

Youth Standard membership sanction cards cost $17.

Youth Basic membership costs $5
Basic memberships is for leagues with less than 12 weeks of
bowling.
Youth Sport Upgrade membership cost $10
Sport upgrade is for those bowling on a sport
condition league or tournament.
Youth Junior Gold membership cost $30
Junior Gold Membership has an average requirement both boys and
girls.
Boys must average 175+ Girls must average 150+
Question:
How long does a league secretary have to file the league
certification form?
Answer:
To retain complete coverage for bonding and awards, remember to
submit the league certification application within 30 days of the
first night of bowling
with the Association Manager.

How long does a secretary have to file a local awards form or a USBC
Awards Form?
Answer:
A league secretary has 20 days to file both of these forms with
the Association Manager.
Question:
When should a league prize fund be voted on?
Answer:
League prize list should be approved no later than five weeks
after the start of the season.
Question:
What is SMART or a SMART Account?
Answer:
SMART stands for Scholarship Management And Reports for Tenpins.
SMART is the name given by USBC for the scholarship funds held by
USBC. Each organization can request a SMART account to hold
there scholarship money. Each Youth awarded a scholarship is
given a SMART account which they can access online. Bowlers
that win or are awarded scholarships will receive information
directly from USBC on available balances and how to apply for
withdrawal.
